Matriarch of Nuvo Home
Tracee Strong is a native Oklahoman. She started designing part time while being a stay at home Mom in the 90's. The kids are grown up now and she thought it was about time to start her own business. She and her long-time friend had their own business called Cotton Candy. It was a sewing business where they would create window panels, pillows, poufs, and quilts all while the toddlers would crawl all over the fabrics spread out on the floor. Occasionally, they would refurbish used furniture. She also enjoyed seasonal decorating for 10 years.
"Working part time was a blessing but having a new passion in the retail industry is exciting and is what God has already prepared me for."
Now her new journey is to create an online atmosphere as well as a store front that will inspire people to enjoy their own surroundings and domain. The inspiration comes from keeping it real, and authentic when it comes to casual comfort in my own living spaces. Tracee is partial to the colors and textures of exotic trades. NUVO HOME gives consumers the newest in home trends from around the world, right at their fingertips.
Eclectic is really the best word to describe her style. Kinda like the Old English Rhyme- Something old, something new, Something borrowed, something blue. A little bit of everything please! Contemporary designs can be cool and modern but also be boring and uninviting. Sleek items mixed in with soft textures help anchor a decor that would otherwise be sterile. For instance- mixed metals with organic wood or fiber art is my favorite way to finish a room.
"My intentions are to be bold but not fussy and modern but relaxed"
